What is Patient Navigator LLC?
Patient Navigator LLC is a company staffed by competent, compassionate guides who work one-on-one with patients and families facing illness or aging to identify where they need help; to solve practical problems; and to develop a support structure in the home that will alleviate stress, improve quality of life, and focus on recovery.
Can Patient Navigator LLC help my aging parents?
Yes. We work with adult children or other family members who need help transitioning their parents to a new living situation. We prepare a plan to address the physical, financial, social and emotional needs of your loved one and we solve day-to-day problems. Our goal is to deal with administrative, insurance or other time-consuming tasks so that family members can focus on spending quality time with their loved one. Elisabeth Russell and Debora Harvey have earned the Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® credential which provides specialized training in aging and the important issues that affect seniors (to learn more about the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, please visit www.csa.us)
Does insurance cover patient navigator services?
No. However, your navigator will save you valuable time and eliminate considerable frustration because we work with insurance companies, billing agencies, or government agencies to advocate on your behalf and to solve problems. We can analyze your medical bills and insurance claims to ensure accuracy. Your patient navigator can access community resources, including senior care services, which fall outside traditional healthcare coverage. We can cut through the bureaucracy of a hospital or other provider. These stressful tasks drain energy from you that you need to be able to focus on treatment and recovery.
What kinds of things does Patient Navigator LLC do?
Patient Navigator LLC designs an action plan for each client to meet his or her specific needs.
How much does this cost?
Your first 10-minute telephone consultation is free. After you can choose either our flat rate of $75 per hour for a specific research or problem-solving request or our 5-hour individualized action plan package for $300 ($60 per hour). Patient Navigator LLC also offers monthly or yearly retainer options. Prices vary depending on services desired. We will tailor a retainer agreement to meet your needs and budget. Our goal is to find a way to help anyone who needs it. If you require alternate payment options, please let us know.
How long have you been in business and what area do you cover?
Patient Navigator LLC was established in October 2004. We are based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and are recruiting navigators in other parts of the country. We serve clients throughout the United States and internationally. Services in Spanish and French are available (link to About Us page)
